Step Back in Time...

Stay in a former hotel built in 1881. Ideally located where the Hudson Valley meets the Berkshires

The Mount Washington House offers comfortable spaces in a unique historic landmark that overlooks the Harlem Valley in eastern Columbia County.

Built in 1881 in the center of the Hamlet of Hillsdale, New York on the privately owned Columbia Turnpike, this stately Second Empire Mansard Victorian was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. She is in a constant state of restoration but continues to welcome visitors from near and far.

Although the tavern and restaurant sadly closed permanently in 2020 after 48 years of continuous operation, we're excited for this next chapter in the rich story of the Mount Washington House. Come write your own page...

Built in 1881. Rescued in 1972. Reborn in 2020...
